there is no sidewalk the preopr and safest way for a runner to run on a street is to go AGAINST the flow of traffic. This allows us to see the cars instead of counting on them seeing us. This is the opposite of cycling on the very same road. Most of the time cyclists and runners clash because they do not understand the safety and concerns each experience. However, keep in mind runners have no protection not even a helmet.
